Rockstar!!! why no GTA 4 for PC?

I'm disappointed to say the least.
It appears that Rockstar has no intentions of releasing GTA4 PC.
IS the code for the X-Box 360 really so much different that they cannot code for both the X-Box 360, and the PC simultaneously using the same code?
If they can then whats going on?
Did Rockstar make a deal with Microsoft and Sony to make the game exclusive to only those two platforms, and if so wouldn't that limit their sales, considering all the loyal GTA PC gamers?
I know I am very unhappy considering GTA is one of my favorite game titles of all time.
Do they plan to port the game to PC at a later date, if so how long do we have to wait?
If they do not release it on PC then I guess my days of lawlessness, disorder and chaos are over, because Although I love gaming I refuse to buy a console, I am a PC guy through and through.
Sad are the days without GTA.

Sincerely
A disgruntled gamer.

GTA IV for PC - Dilemma?

All major GTA releases have either started on the PC or found their way to the PC after the console release (the only exceptions being the PSP/PS2 Stories). This has proven to greatly extend the shelf lives of these games via community modding and other customizations that are not possible with the console versions.

So, will Rockstar continue the tried-and-true tradition of bringing GTA to the PC some months after the intial console release? Or will they overlook this market as a result of the hot coffee debacle or some other reason?

Passing on the PC version would effectively amputate a huge part of the fanbase and thereby greatly reduce the shelf life and continued sales of the game. I'd personally like to believe Rockstar are smart enough business people not to be throwing a valuable PC market away like that.

Swiss Site Update - DVD Case

***Warning this may not be real***

You can view the Swiss website here.

GTA IV for PC Release Date Leaked?

Probably all the GTA IV fans are already playing the game on their console of choice, but we should never forget the system that gave birth to the first Grand Theft Auto title - the personal computers. Even though Rockstar hasn't officially confirmed anything, rumors about an October release date for the game started to be heard quite a while ago. Following the console launch (which is definitely a success), Rockstar should officially confirm the PC version (if it really exists) during the coming weeks.

Until then, we have a Swiss website presenting the Grand Theft Auto IV PC version DVD case, together with a price and, what matters most for all of us: the release date. According to the website, the PC version of Rockstar's title will be made available starting the 30th of November this year. What should normally be a further proof that the date is correct (or, at least, that a PC version is in the works) is the fact that pre-order is available. It remains to see how and if Rockstar responds to this... let's call it "leak". They probably won't be too happy, since the official announcement still has to be made.

However, don't take this date as a sure thing. It could be just an attempt of the website to promote itself or nothing but a misunderstanding. One thing is sure, though: the DVD case presented on the website seems real enough for us to believe it's true. We'll keep an eye on it to see if things change during the following days.

Already considered the Game of the Year, Grand Theft Auto IV has just been released for Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles and received numerous 10/10 reviews. The estimated sales for the first week are only somewhere around 6 million and the game is considered to be the title that will save Take 2 from Electronic Arts' acquisition.

GTA IV, a Potential Record Breaking Giant ?

Here are the records set by the previous titles: First Full "Sandbox" Action-Adventure (GTA III), Biggest Selling Game of 2001 (GTA III), Biggest Selling Game of 2002 (GTA: Vice City), Best-selling Playstation 2 game of all time (GTA Vice City), Best-selling PSP game of all time (GTA Liberty City Stories), Largest in-game soundtrack (GTA: San Andreas), Largest Voice Cast in a video game (GTA: San Andreas), Most Guest Stars In A Video Game Series (the entire franchise).

While we are wondering what new records the new Grand Theft Auto game will break, it seems that the Guinness World Records Book already knows, at least a few of them, but it's keeping them a secret for the moment. And I guess that everybody will agree with keeping the records secret for now – we've got a game to play and no time to search for its records. We still have a lot of time ahead and, who knows, maybe some of the people who start playing the game this very second will have their name written in the book of world records.

However, if you are eager to find out more about all the records set by the games world, pick up the inaugural, Guinness World Records: Gamer’s Edition 2008, on sale now. Or check the official website for updated news, competitions and, of course, to be the first one to know what records will GTA IV break this year.

GTA IV PC release date

A friend of mine told about the release date for GTA 4 for pc from the manual of the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV. Evidently on 13th December 2008 Niko and Roman will be finding a place on our Windows start menu just in time for the Christmas. No details on what additional GTA4 PC version features has been included it seems, if it will be a Vista-only release or what minimum hardware will be required - but best put in a word to Santa for the latest Alienware hardware just in case.

Welcome to GTA 4 PC Game Blog

Hello PC Gamers !!!

One of the biggest flaws of Grand Theft Auto: 4, is that it's not a game at all. It's an experience to be had. But the (often frustrating) matter is that PlayStation and X-BOX gamers get the first bite of everything.

In this blog I'll putting up all the information about the PC release of the next GTA game and about my subsequent GTA IV experience.

Duh! I'm not really feeling creative right now but I want to have the site launched straight away. I'm going to leave this as it is, and go on with the posts. Maybe later I'll put up something nice and poetic over here. Later.
